Description

Exos CORVAULT 5U84: High-Density Enterprise Data Storage Solution – R5U84I1500S001 Seagate Exos ® CORVAULT ™ is a high-performing block storage system with multi-petabyte capacity, five-nines availability, hyperscale efficiencies, and breakthrough self-healing, sustainable technology. Self-Healing Block Storage Renew drives automatically with built-in Seagate ADAPT and Autonomous Drive Regeneration (ADR). While data creation is growing exponentially, IT teams and budgets are not. That’s why we built CORVAULT. Store mass data with a new category of intelligent storage that utilises Autonomous Drive Regeneration (ADR) to minimize downtime, human intervention, and e-waste by renewing errant drives in situ. That means fewer opportunities for human error and more cost savings. Reduces the environmental impact of computer e-waste as ADR drives are renewed instead of discarded. Dramatically reduces manual drive swaps. Optimise Your Data Centre Increase data availability and durability while reducing your carbon footprint, e-waste and TCO. Experience enterprise storage that’s like a single hard drive with multi-petabyte capacity. With CORVAULT, data centres benefit from hyperscale efficiencies, rapid deployment, streamlined data management, and reduced human intervention. The solution reduces e-waste by supporting sustainable data centre architectures that consume less host CPU, RAM, and networking resources by up to 50%, which slashes CO 2 footprints and reduces total rack power consumption by 30%. This is all enabled by Seagate breakthrough data protection technologies using Exos enterprise hard drives and Seagate storage controllers: Autonomic Distributed Allocation Protection Technology (ADAPT) erasure coding combined with Autonomous Drive Regeneration (ADR) that renews hard drives on demand. Superior Data Availability Deliver fast response and low latency data to your business with purpose-built architecture. Superior Data Availability: Provides five-nines data availability, durability, and performance needed to promote reliable data storage. System Data Protection: Protects data via Seagate Autonomic Distributed Allocation Protection Technology (ADAPT) for rapid rebuilds, storage efficiency, improved sustainability and reduced downtime. Self-Healing Hard Drive: Minimises e-waste, downtime, maintenance, and human intervention by renewing errant drives on demand with ADAPT and Autonomous Drive Regeneration (ADR). High-Performing System: VelosCT™ ASIC-based architecture powers fully redundant, hot-swappable, active-active dual controllers for high availability, compatibility, and predictable performance at a much lower cost than alternative solutions. Sustainability and More Efficiency Reduce carbon emissions, lower TCO, and become more profitable. Hyperscale Efficiency: Lower TCO with hyperscale capacity, maximum space utilisation, extended lifecycles, and less power per petabytes. Sustainability and Cost Savings: Reduces the carbon footprint of data centres with architectures requiring less compute and networking resources, slashing TCO and e-waste. High Capacity: Features the latest, most efficient petabyte capacity block storage — with maximum data density — for optimal data centre usage. Simplicity and Seamless Deployment Manage all data with a dependable, integrated web-based device and data management console. Simple Installation: Configure and manage data with enterprise storage that’s like a single hard drive with petabytes capacity. Easy Set Up: Web GUI, CLI, and Redfish API provide one-button configuration for fast and easy deployment (no installation required) and reduced set-up time. Useful Tools: Remote diagnostics and non-disruptive updates keep things running smoothly. Level up Your Security Bring effortless, maximum security to your data. Maximum System Protection: CORVAULT self-encrypts data via Seagate Secure™ to reduce privacy concerns and secure cryptographical erase. All included hard drives come standard with Seagate Secure™ self-encrypting drive (SED) technology. Reliable Data Encryption: Supports full system encryption and instant secure erase. Hard Drive Lock Down: Hard drives are keyed to the CORVAULT system so data on the drives can’t be accessed when replaced.
